Job Title: Safety Supervisor
Location: Mocksville, NC
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $78,000 – $90,000 annually (based on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are a leading manufacturer of prefabricated building materials, supplying high-quality components to the residential construction industry. Our facility in Mocksville, NC supports a fast-paced production and warehouse operation that plays a critical role in homebuilding projects across the region.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Supervisor to lead workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards. This individual will play a key role in promoting a safety-first culture, conducting training, leading investigations, and driving continuous improvement across all departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs aligned with OSHA and internal standards

  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards

  • Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans

  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, trainings, inspections, and regulatory documentation

  • Provide employee training on equipment use, PPE, emergency response, and safety best practices

  • Coordinate and facilitate regular safety committee meetings with warehouse and production staff

  • Oversee the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials (HazMat) in compliance with regulations

  • Monitor daily operations to identify and recommend engineering or administrative safety controls

  • Collaborate with HR and operations on return-to-work programs and workers' compensation management

  • Stay current on occupational health and safety trends and regulatory changes

  • Promote a proactive and consistent safety culture across all shifts and departments

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 2–4 years of safety management experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

  • OSHA 30 certification required; CSP, ASP, or other safety credentials preferred

  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, EPA, and related safety regulations

  • Experience with safety management systems (SMS), incident tracking, and reporting software

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills

  • Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment

  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
