Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Assistant II to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting, cold calling, and leveraging your territory and network to gather leads. You will develop new client accounts and negotiate pricing levels to encourage business dealings with our company. Your expertise will help us achieve our annual sales and gross profit goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new client accounts through cold calls, canvassing, and working potential customer lists.
- Contact companies that previously rejected proposals to re-establish business opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing levels according to company guidelines.
- Assist in the collection of past-due accounts to ensure timely payments from clients.
- Report market activity to management by monitoring and analyzing competitor pricing and products.
- Make product recommendations for inclusion in the company product line.
- Proactively recommend adjustments to the current product line and pricing to remain competitive.
- Initiate and process requests for repair services and advise customers on routine maintenance.
- Identify mechanical problems through questioning or visual inspection and recommend corrective procedures.
- Prepare repair orders showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service work.
- Manage customer complaints in a professional manner and determine causes of operating errors.
- Collaborate with customers to determine specialized product needs and suggest add-on sales to increase average transactions.
- Keep customers informed of work progress and stay current on new products and updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, reporting all accidents to a manager or supervisor immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage customer complaints effectively and professionally.
- Familiarity with mechanical products and services is a plus.
- Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
