Hybrid - on-site in NYC 2 days a week

Position Summary
The Sales Director will lead sales initiatives across club, mass, and drug retail channels, driving revenue growth and optimizing net margins.
Requires a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key retail accounts, execute strategic sales plans, and collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Finance. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, the Sales Director will play a crucial role in expanding the company's footprint and ensuring seamless execution of in-store sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Management
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in retail channels.
- Oversee pricing and marketing decisions, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Manage sales budgets and ensure profitability within financial targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key retail accounts, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Work closely with buyers and planners to optimize product assortment and inventory levels.
- Ensure smooth order fulfillment and in-store execution in collaboration with Sales Operations.
- Partner with Marketing, Finance, and Operations through regular touchpoints.
- Coordinate demand forecasting, inventory planning, and promotional rollouts.
- Align with Sales Operations and Warehousing to ensure timely product availability.
- Implement and monitor in-store marketing strategies and promotional calendars.
- Maintain pricing consistency across retail partners.
- Work with retailers to ensure seamless execution of promotions and marketing materials.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and promotional activities to adjust strategies.
- Monitor chargebacks, margins, and operational costs to maximize profitability.
- Leverage customer insights to refine product offerings and sales approaches.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations to align sales forecasts with supply chain planning.
- Oversee order fulfillment and merchandising support efforts.
- Ensure efficient communication between field teams and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of sales experience to brick-and-mortar retail channels - CPG sales.
- Proven success in achieving revenue and margin targets.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in sales tracking tools and retailer portals.
- Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
