Job Title:  Sales / Marketing Department Manager

Location: Lumberton, TX

Pay Rate: Depending on experience

Department: Sales / Marketing

Position Summary: The Sales Department Manager will be based in the Lumberton, TX Corporate office and report to the Corporate Office. This role involves overseeing daily operations in the sales department, working closely with other department heads such as Estimating, Operations Management, Finance Manager, and Marketing Manager. The goal is to refine sales deliverables, encourage sales through marketing campaigns, and address customer concerns or complaints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations in the sales department.
  • Collaborate with department heads to refine sales deliverables.
  • Encourage sales through marketing campaigns.
  • Address customer concerns or complaints.
  • Hold meetings with sales staff to review monthly goals and highlight new opportunities.
  • Cultivate sales approaches.
  • Attend in-person meetings with clients to discuss needs and new services.
  • Hire and train area sales staff.
  • Relay information from upper management to department staff about sales quotas.
  • Generate and distribute leads among Sales Representatives.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee all sales and promotional activities.
  • Mentor and train personnel.
  • Develop sales improvement processes and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional work environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales.
  • Provide a broad base book of clientele.
  • Proven ability to bring in new business.
  • Advanced time management skills.
  • Ability to set and achieve sales targets effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Experience using V-Tiger or other system management tools to manage the sales process and forecast sales.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns.
  • Ability to guide and mentor sales representatives.
  • Evaluate sales practices and procedures following Senior Management guidelines.
  • Oversee local and regional sales, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications, participating in professional societies, and establishing personal networks.
  • Plan and direct the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives.
  • Ensure the delivery of targets through individual recognition, performance reviews, people management, and rewards.
  • Maintain sales budgets and projections and approve expenditures.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding products or services.
  • Suggest solutions, improvements, and prevention steps for sales issues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to organize and preserve paper documents.
