SAP GTS Deployment Lead
Kelly Services is currently seeking a SAP GTS Deployment Lead one of our top clients in New Brunswick or Titusville, NJ.

The Trade Operations GTS Deployment Lead will be responsible for providing operational expertise for SAP GTS deployment from an Export Compliance Operations perspective. This position will drive function specific deployment activities across design, testing, training, cutover, and hypercare for the GTS/Transcend program, while ensuring seamless integration across Client's business functions, contributing to solutions that support end-to-end (E2E) organizational requirements while maintaining ERP template integrity and reliability. This role serves as a hands-on SME (subject matter expert) and change agent, closing the gap between the program team and end users. Key responsibilities include supporting the alignment of trade operations design within the broader E2E business process framework and helping to standardize core business capabilities, functional integrations, and product designs to meet critical cross functional process needs.
Key Responsibilities
SAP GTS Integration (System Design & Delivery)
- Provide business requirements to Global Template Owners and Technical Owners to ensure accurate capture and translation into system design.
- Support the development of standardized templates and workflows that streamline trade operations, documentation, and reporting.
- Create and maintain clear documentation on system configurations, workflows, and best practices; gather and synthesize feedback from regional teams to drive consistency.
- Support deployment activities, including configuration tasks, test coordination, BST/UAT facilitation, and go live readiness checks.
Export Controls and Trade Sanctions (Policy & Compliance)
- Provide subject matter expertise for trade operations procedures.
- Deliver expert guidance on export controls and trade sanctions processes.
Cross-Functional & Project Delivery (Export Controls + SAP GTS Integration)
- Collaborate with global partners across Trade, Supply Chain, Compliance, and IT to gather and document detailed business requirements.
- Attend and support workshops and validation sessions to map current trade processes and identify gaps.
- Analyze and prioritize business needs to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and global trade policies; escalate conflicting requirements to project leads as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supporting large scale SAP ERP and SAP GTS deployment projects.
- Experience in export compliance, including areas such as process and systems, sanctions, embargoes, restricted party/sanctions lists, and other related regulatory domains.
- Background in business process design, engineering, or optimization.
- Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to manage timelines, dependencies, and cross functional deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with proven ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships with senior business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capabilities and business acumen, with an appreciation for best practices, governance standards, and operational rigor.
- Ability to work effectively within a highly matrixed, globally distributed organization.
- Experience in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
- Experience leading or supporting multi functional decision making bodies, including governance forums, or steering committees.
- Experience deploying standardized processes, tools, and templates across regions or functional areas.
Required Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred
- Professional certifications are beneficial, particularly in one or more of the following areas: Project Management (e.g., PMP, FPX, or comparable certification), APICS (CPIM/CSCP/CLTD), Lean or Six Sigma process methodologies
Required Years of Related Experience:
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in SAP GTS implementation, customs, trade compliance, and/or risk management is strongly preferred
