Overview
Our client designs and builds custom industrial control systems utilizing leading manufacturers of programmable logic controllers and supervisory control and data acquisition software. 

As a SCADA/HMI Developer you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and commissioning of HMI and SCADA systems to support industrial automation projects across a range of industries (Utilities, Alternative Energy, Automotive R&D, Process Manufacturing).
This position is ideal for a Controls professional with 3+ years of experience developing SCADA and HMI applications in industrial environments and holds an Ignition gold certification

Summary: Seeking an experienced SCADA/HMI Developer skilled in FactoryTalk View and Ignition platforms to design and commission HMI/SCADA systems for industrial automation projects in diverse sectors.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop and commission SCADA/HMI applications using FactoryTalk and Ignition.
  • Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs and industrial controls.
  • Develop user-friendly interfaces and dashboards.
  • Configure alarms, events, trends, and reports.
  • Optimize system architecture for reliability and security.
  • Collaborate to capture and implement functional requirements.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Document software designs and user manuals.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of SCADA/HMI development experience.
  • Experience with FactoryTalk SE/ME and Ignition (v8.x+ preferred).
  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols.
  • PLC programming knowledge is a plus.
  • Skilled in SCADA architectures and database systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ignition Gold Certification.
  • Experience with other HMI platforms.
  • Knowledge of ISA standards and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python and VBA.
Environment:
  • Blend of remote work and onsite commissioning.
  • Travel up to 25% to customer sites.
