Scheduling Coordinator – Temp to Hire
Location:  Cleveland, University Circle Area
Opportunity: Temporary to potential hire
Pay: $16.97
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to make an impact in a vibrant dental school environment? Are you able to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent customer service, computer, and phone skills?
Join our team as a Scheduling Coordinator, where you'll support the daily operations and patient care coordination for dentistry students, residents, hygienists, and fellows.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, coordinate, and confirm patient appointments for dental students and graduate programs
  • Manage appointment cancellation calls and ensure all time slots are filled
  • Serve as a resource for students and staff regarding paperwork and clinical protocol
  • Provide administrative support: retrieve/return calls, arrange emergency appointments, and assist with specialty clinic scheduling
  • Schedule appointments and assist hygienists and new students with their appointment needs
  • Handle patient records and demographics in the electronic health system (confidentiality required)
Qualifications:
  • 1 to 1.5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a dental office or dental education facility
  • High school diploma required
  • Patient scheduling experience highly preferred
  • Above average computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and database applications
  • Familiarity with dental terminology a plus
  • Ability to work with varied populations, including those with physical and mental disabilities
