  • Job Title: Senior Buyer
  • Work Location: Pensacola, FL 32514
  • Pay Rate: $40.00/hour
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (two 15-min breaks and a 30-min lunch)
  • Duration: 3 months with temp-to-hire potential

What you'll do:
  • Create and manage requisitions and purchase orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy and timely transactions
  • Coordinate directly with suppliers to manage orders, demand volume, backorders, delivery timelines, and resolve issues
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships, focusing on availability, quality, service, and cost standards
  • Support maintenance and facilities operations through effective procurement of indirect materials and MRO
  • Develop, negotiate, and oversee purchase agreements and long-term contracts
  • Monitor and communicate purchase order status to internal stakeholders
  • Analyze inventory levels and drive improvements to working capital turn rate
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and resolve product discrepancies
  • Implement best practices for supplier selection, evaluation, and monitoring
  • Continuously improve time management, problem solving, and follow-up skills
Is this the right fit for you?
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or relevant experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' buyer experience in manufacturing or supply chain environments
  • Direct experience with SAP software required
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
  • Experience purchasing MRO, Maintenance, Facilities, and Indirect categories preferred
  • Detail-oriented and metric-driven
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, handle materials, reach, and occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds
  • Visual acuity for distinguishing objects
  • Adherence to safety and environmental protection regulations; proper PPE required
