Position Title: Senior Estimator

Location: Lumberton, TX

Job Overview: As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimations and effective project execution. Your expertise will be vital in managing budgets, schedules, and resources, while collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals. Your ability to adapt to industry advancements and maintain high standards will contribute to the overall success of our projects.

  Responsibilities:
  • Calculate major EPC construction cost estimates.
  • Involved in the planning, development, and internal strategy on contract execution of a project.
  • Negotiate with a range of professionals.
  • Make accurate time and cost estimates.
  • Resolve issues as they arise.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 10-12 years of experience in estimating.
  • Expertise in planning and organizing schedules.
  • Strong background in piping and mechanical estimating.
  • Ability to assess project and resource requirements.
  • Proficient in estimating, negotiating, and agreeing on budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
Senior Estimator Responsibilities:
  • Determine the total cost of materials, equipment, and labor for EPC construction projects.
  • Research construction documents and analyze specifications.
  • Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
  • Manage pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
  • Prepare estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and collaborating with Procurement in securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
  • Regularly report to Management and keep clients updated on project status.
  • Formulate contingency plans and effectively manage risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
  • Keep track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
  • Collaborate with other teams, conduct site visits, and provide other services, like bid deliveries, when required.
  • Extensive experience as an estimator in the EPC Industrial construction field.
  • Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Management of personnel and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Ability to travel and perform site visits.
