Position Title: Senior Discovery Immunologist
Salary: $150,000-180,000/year
Overview
We are seeking driven and collaborative scientists to spearhead research initiatives focused on the discovery and development of innovative therapies for infectious diseases. The ideal candidates will contribute to both early-stage discovery and translational research, with an emphasis on identifying and characterizing novel therapeutic targets and moving programs toward clinical development. This role involves leading and managing projects that encompass both fundamental research and translational applications.
Responsibilities
Research Leadership and Execution:
- Design, conduct, and analyze experiments independently to support the discovery and development of novel therapeutic candidates.
- Execute and interpret in vivo pharmacology studies to validate therapeutic targets and explore the biology of novel targets and pathways.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, cross-functional, and collaborative team environment.
- Present research findings and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Prepare research reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and contribute to the preparation of Investigational New Drug (IND) applications and patent filings.
- Train and manage Research Associates, fostering a hands-on approach to experimental design and execution.
- Collaborate with academic institutions and external organizations to advance research goals.
- Demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas, objectives, and results.

- Candidates must possess a PhD and extensive postdoctoral research experience, with a preference for those who have at least 2 years of industry experience.
- A strong publication record, outstanding communication and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment are essential.
- Additionally, candidates should be committed to mentoring junior scientists and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
