SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER
- Terrell TX
- Salary 80k-100k+ Depending on experience

Provide leadership and technical expertise to support of Quality Control and Engineering.

Responsibilities
- Support the organization management on Lean implementation using Lean Systems tools.
- Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and develop documents and test data.
- Provide training and feedback to production personnel to ensure uniform process and supervise inspection methods.
- Evaluate risk of process and recommend improvement actions where appropriate.
- Lead cross-functional teams in problem solving for non-conformance product, and process capabilities establishing definitive root cause and effective corrective actions.
- Execute product containment actions to protect the customer from non-conforming material arriving at their facilities.
- Assist plant personnel in maintaining the Quality Management Systems, and highlighting areas for continuous improvement. Lead internal audit processes.
- Develop and update quality documents such as the Control Plan, PFMEA, and Inspection Plans.
- Maintain quality documentation in compliance with customer needs, certifications requirements and quality standards.
- Monitor quality performance, including on-time delivery, quality defects, and all other KPI's.
- Provide leadership and direction to Quality Control Technicians.
- Other duties as directed by upper management.
Requirements
- Program and use CMM system is a PLUS.
- Use other measurement instruments such as caliper, micrometer, etc.
- 2 years of relevant work experience, including leading a team of employees
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA's, Problem Solving Techniques and Root Cause Analysis.
- Comprehensive understanding of Quality Assurance Systems and Applications
- Able to perform all functions of a Quality Control Technician.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel. Experience with customer contact.
- Able to read and interpret technical engineering drawings, specifications and other engineering documentation, including GD&T.
Physical Demands
This position requires accessing all areas in the plant necessary to verify and study the processes. Regularly required to stand or sit, and move around the facility.
Education and Certification
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience and certifications.
Salary is 80k -100k+ based upon education, experience, and skills.
