Kelly is hiring a Senior Technical Associate - Research & Development for a 12-month Contract role with one of our prestigious clients based out in Wilmington, DE 19805 (Onsite) - Shift: 8 am – 4:30 pm.

Job Title: Senior Technical Associate - Research & Development                 
Location: 200 Powder Mill Road, Wilmington, DE 19805 (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: 12-month contract
Shift: 8 am – 4:30 pm.
Pay rate: $24-44/hr.

Qualifications:

  • Clients Electronics is seeking to employ an Analytical Chemistry Technical Associate as a contractor.
  • The successful candidate will assist an interdisciplinary process chemistry and engineering team in the Emerging Technologies organization aimed at the scale-up and commercialization of product candidates from the E&I division.
  • The position will provide analytical chemistry support in a team environment for organic synthesis, polymerization and process development.
  • This position is 100% on-site.

QUALIFICATIONS
• BS/MS Chemistry with a minimum of two years of analytical experience, industrial experience a plus
• Excellent organization and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in an R&D or Pilot plant environment a plus

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
  • Proficiency with some analytical techniques below
  • HPLC, UPLC, LCMS
  • GC, GCMS
  • GPC
  • Karl Fisher titrator, rheometer, UV-vis spectrophotometer
  • Knowledge of organic chemistry and electronic materials a plus

Responsibilities:
JOB DESCRIPTION

Sample Analysis
  • Meet dynamic fast paced business demands for analytical measurements in support of R&D/pilot production of materials supplied to customers.
  • Support analytical measurements for molecular weight characterization, determination of residual monomers and residual solvents, identify unknown components and quantitate overall purity for polymers and small molecules across multiple projects.

Lab and Equipment Operations
  • Function as an effective and productive member of various project teams. Coordinate analytical measurements within group projects.
  • Manage and maintain analytical laboratories, including writing SOPs, equipment maintenance and upkeep, and safety documentation.
  • Maintain electronic lab notebooks and deliver analytical reports.

Safety
  • Proven safety track record with commitment to ZERO incidents/injuries
  • Experience working with hazardous chemicals
  • Proven track record of meeting project goals on aggressive timelines
