Position: Shipping & Receiving Associate
Pay: 21hr

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting data center operations by ensuring effective inventory management, material handling, server assembly and installation, and high-quality customer service. You will work closely with various teams to meet daily operational goals while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Key Responsibilities: Material Handling & Logistics
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound freight from vehicles and containers

  • Perform quality checks to verify part numbers, quantities, and condition of materials

  • Process return shipments using warehouse management systems (WMS)

  • Execute daily cycle counts and place replenishment orders for critical spare parts

Server & Equipment Installation
  • Assemble and install servers and electronic components using hand and power tools

  • Accurately place server racks on the data center floor using laser measuring tools

  • Install rack hardware and cable systems based on diagrams and schematics

  • Populate server racks with components and perform cabling

Equipment Operation
  • Operate material handling equipment including:

    • Electric pallet jacks

    • Rack movers

    • Straddle stackers

General Operations
  • Perform regular cleanup to maintain 5S standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)

  • Push, pull, and lift materials frequently throughout the workday

Deliverables & Expectations:
  • Daily compliance with all safety and operational procedures

  • Maintain punctuality and reliability

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Flexibility to cross-train and assist multiple departments within the data center

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Interpersonal & Communication:
    Excellent customer service and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Technical & Analytical:
    Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
    Basic computer proficiency
    Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions

  • Safety Awareness:
    Understanding of electrical safety and static discharge protocols (training provided)
    Ability to safely work around live electrical equipment

  • Physical Requirements:
    Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials throughout the shift
    Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment

Preferred Experience:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or data center environment

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and electronic component handling
