Location: East Hanover, NJ
Duration: 18+ Month Contract
Pay Rate: $28.00 – $29.00 / Hour
Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST)
The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for food science and technical data integrity? Join a global leader in the food and beverage industry as a Specialist in Data & Specification Management. In this high-impact role, you will be the technical anchor for specification reviews and approvals, ensuring that every product meets the highest global quality and compliance standards.
What You Will Do

  • Drive Compliance: Provide expert specification management support to ensure all data aligns with rigorous quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key liaison across various functions to lead specification reviews, approvals, and change notifications.
  • Process Innovation: Identify opportunities for process improvement, offering suggestions to enhance data consistency and completeness.
  • Technical Stewardship: Manage the full lifecycle of specifications, including archiving obsolete data, running maintenance audits, and providing day-to-day troubleshooting and user support.
What You Bring
  • Educational Foundation: A University degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Food Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Industry Insight: 1–2 years of hands-on experience within the food industry is essential.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required; experience with PLM systems is a distinct advantage.
  • Professionalism: Excellent organizational skills, priority-setting abilities, and the "learning agility" to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Fluent English with the interpersonal skills to work seamlessly with domestic and international colleagues.
