SQF Practitioner
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an SQF Practitioner for a 4–6-month contract position at a premier client in Portland, OR. Pay: $40-50/hour Overview
This client is an industry-leading company focused on food safety and quality, producing safe, quality food in compliance with all State, Federal, and third-party standards.
In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining the client's quality systems within their production facility to ensure all quality assurance standards are met consistently.
Schedule: Mon-Fri Day Shift. Onsite Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the client's products meet all safety, quality, and legal standards.
  • Serve as the HACCP team lead and function as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and SQF Practitioner.
  • Oversee Federal, State, Organic, GFSI, and customer audits.
  • Administer food safety system verification, validation, and internal audits.
  • Maintain certifications, including NCIMS and Organic Certifications.
  • Coordinate food safety and quality system processes, including recall and trace-back systems, food defense assessments, and pest control programs.
  • Draft and manage SOPs, SSOPs, and master processing documentation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and issue corrective actions for quality-related complaints.
  • Perform microbiological and chemical testing on raw and finished products.
  • Support research and development initiatives for new products and methods.
Qualifications:
  • SQF Certification required.
  • Certified in FSCPA and HACCP
  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the food industry
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, State and Federal regulations, and GFSI standards
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proven ability to work independently
