Senior Supply Chain Logistics Analyst
- 6 month+ contract with potential to go permanent (dependent on business need)
- Based on a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite/2 days remote) out of our Gaithersburg, MD office
Job Description/Requirements
- Develop and maintain key operating indicators, metrics and ad-hoc reports to evidence functional areas and vendor performance. Based on results propose and implement process improvements or, if needed, corrective actions to achieve goals and objectives.
- Oversee freight, logistics and warehouse expenses to drive Supply Chain decisions. Work in conjunction with other functional areas such as Sales and Marketing to analyze freight costs to ensure enterprise-wide profitability.
- Initiate insurance claims for goods damaged in-transit, compiling, and structuring the required financial and freight documentation and information.
- Maintain freight charges current for outbound instrument and consumable sales shipments. Provide freight quotes for multiple functional areas and coordinate ad-hoc shipments as required by the business.
- Research and resolve with internal functional areas and outside carriers the complaints made by customers related to the products delivered outside of viable conditions, and all the warehouse deliveries identified by the Quality department.
- Lead and/or support Supply Chain and Trade Compliance projects or initiatives addressing packaging, carrier options, sustainability, waste elimination and cross border efficiencies.
- Presenting key results and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.

Requirements
- Supply chain certifications such as CPIM, APICS, PMP (preferred)
- A minimum of 5-8 years' experience in global supply chain roles or equivalent years or education and experience (flexible on years' experience)
- Background in international logistics preferred
- Background in domestic logistics is necessary
- Exposure to highly regulated business
- Experience in GMP environment preferred
- SAP experience (preferred)

- Exceptional analytical acumen
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written & verbal) to ensure understanding of SOPs
- Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, CRM) –advance level
- Strong informing abilities
- Ability to work across functional disciplines
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong commitment to seeing tasks through to completion
