Location: New Britain, CT
Pay: $36/hr | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm

About the Role:
As part of Stanley Black & Decker's Global Supply Management (GSM) team, you'll focus on the procurement of maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO & FACILITIES) parts for SBD plants across North America. This strategic role is pivotal in transforming the current supply base, driving consolidation, and delivering value through innovative sourcing strategies. If you excel at both the strategic and hands-on aspects of supply chain management, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and coordinate RFPs, from data/spend analysis to execution and contract negotiation.
  • Analyze bids and present outcome recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Follow up with suppliers, preparing and managing implementation/transition plans.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate procurement policies and oversee category sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct market intelligence and incorporate insights into sourcing strategy.
  • Negotiate and manage large-scale volume purchase agreements.
  • Foster strategic supplier relationships focused on cost reduction, supply assurance, and innovation.
  • Identify and evaluate supplier capabilities, ensuring alignment with company requirements.
  • Drive annual cost-savings and working capital objectives.
Required Experience:
  • 5+ years in strategic sourcing, or equivalent planning/manufacturing/operations experience.
  • Track record of designing and executing medium-to-long term procurement strategies.
  • Experience driving change in decentralized, plant-based operations preferred.
  • Balanced strategic/operational skillset: global sourcing, supplier/commodity risk management.
  • International/multi-cultural matrix environment experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Skills & Certifications:
  • Strong program planning, selling, and execution skills.
  • Effective communicator and influencer at all management levels.
  • Executive presence; superb presentation and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated; able to drive change independently.
  • CPSM certification preferred; Spanish a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required. MBA or Master's in Supply Chain preferred.
