Kelly Services is currently seeking for a Supply Planning Coordinator for one of our top clients located in Portage, MI.

JOB TITLE:  Supply Planning Coordinator
DURATION: 18 Months
LOCATION:  Portage, MI
SALARY:  $25 - $27 per hour W2

Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Position may perform any or all of the following tasks as assigned:

Systems Knowledge
• Issue suggested purchase orders based upon MRP system suggestions and customer demand.
• Request changes to purchase order dates from suppliers based upon MRP system suggestions and demand changes.
• Update MRP system to ensure clear communication of expected inventory.
• Monitor open purchase orders and ensure on-time receipt.
• Issue purchase orders to support engineering changes.

Customer Management
• Update the business on the status and direction of your business on a daily basis or as required.
• Update internal customers supply issues and drive them to resolution.
• Coordinate engineering changes between internal customers and suppliers.

Supplier Management
• Update purchase orders as required.
• Manage supplier to maintain continuity of supply and product availability.
• Challenge all price increase requests from suppliers and escalate if unsuccessful.
• Serve as single point of contact for suppliers for SICR/Change Order tracking and prioritization.
• Hold suppliers accountable to shipment plan.

EXPERIENCE AND NECESSARY SKILLS:
• Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline.
• Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be PC literate.
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• 0 - 2 Years of procurement work experience.
• Preferred Functional skills –MRP, PC proficiency, purchasing system/procedures, supplier management.

Hours: 
8:00am to 5:00pm
