Job Title: Technical Information Specialist – Automotive Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Information Specialist to join our TECH LINE contact center team. In this role, you will provide manufacturer-level support to dealership service technicians by delivering accurate technical guidance on vehicle diagnostics and repairs. You will also contribute to the documentation and analysis of vehicle incidents, providing technical insights for engineering review, and enhancing the overall service experience.
This position is well-suited for individuals who are eager to learn, adaptable to new challenges, and motivated to grow within a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to TECH LINE cases via phone, email, or chat, offering technical assistance to dealership service technicians.
  • Guide technicians through vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures using service manuals, internal databases, and technical resources.
  • Document all support cases thoroughly; search for related cases and update or close reports as appropriate.
  • Collect and report technical data on new vehicle incidents for further engineering analysis.
  • Provide remote support via Tech Link sessions to assist with scan tool diagnosis at dealerships.
  • Monitor Salesforce dashboards and reports to ensure timely and effective case resolution.
  • Support internal team members by completing assigned tasks and contributing to a collaborative contact center environment.
  • Perform general dealer support and department-specific administrative duties.
  • Uphold brand values and contribute to long-term customer satisfaction and business growth.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
  • Automotive technical experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate technical resources.
  • Automotive enthusiast with a positive, helpful attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Preferred Attributes:
  • Familiarity with technical documentation.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
  • Professional training or certification in automotive technology or related fields.
