Job Title: 
Transportation Admin/Dispatcher 

Location: 
Savannah, GA 

Compensation: 

  • Hourly rate: $18–$20 (based on experience). 

Work Schedule: 

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. 

  • Includes a paid, flexible 30-minute lunch break. 

Position Summary: 
The Transportation Admin/Dispatcher is responsible for providing administrative and operational support within a busy transportation environment. This role ensures orders are properly processed, paperwork is accurately completed, and communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams runs efficiently. The position is integral to maintaining our high standard of service and operational effectiveness. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Accurately enter customer orders into company systems and process all associated paperwork. 

  • Assist with daily dispatch activities, including scheduling loads, tracking shipments, and assigning tasks to drivers. 

  • Provide ongoing support to operations staff by resolving logistical issues as they arise. 

  • Communicate promptly and professionally with drivers, customers, and other team members. 

  • Monitor and adjust schedules to meet delivery and pick-up requirements, updating relevant systems and stakeholders. 

  • Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, document management, and responding to phone and email inquiries. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior experience in trucking, transportation, or dispatching. 

  • Familiarity with administrative and clerical duties within a transportation or trucking office setting. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). 

  • Experience working with web-based access systems and/or transportation management software is preferred. 

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Predominantly office-based work requiring regular use of computers and office equipment. 

  • Occasional lifting of office supplies or paperwork, typically less than 20 pounds. 

Working Environment: 

  • Professional office setting with frequent interaction with drivers and operations staff.
