Shift / Pay Rate:
• 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• $19.19 to $29.00 per hour (based on experience)

What's a typical day as a Utility Worker? You'll be:
• Supporting all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
• Making necessary adjustments to equipment units affecting speeds of chemical reactions and quality.
• Monitoring recording instruments, flow meters, panel lights, and other indicators.
• Controlling or operating chemical processes or systems of machines.
• Recording operating data such as process conditions and instrument readings.
• Conferring with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality.
• Drawing samples of products to be tested in the lab.
• Regulating or shutting down equipment during emergency situations or as directed.
• Starting pumps to wash and rinse reactor vessels, exhaust gases and vapors, regulate the flow of oil, steam, air or gas, and add products to converter or blending vessels.
• Filling packages ranging in size from 5-gallon pails to 275-gallon totes.
• Transferring material to bulk tanks.
• Notifying maintenance, engineering, and other auxiliary personnel to correct equipment malfunctions and adjust power, steam, water, or air supplies as needed.
• Inspecting and operating Utility Equipment such as towers, boilers, chillers, and scrubbers.
• Calculating material requirements or yields according to formulas as directed.
• Gauging tank levels using calibrated rods and pressure gauges.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have at least 6 months of related batch chemical blending/formulation experience with hazardous materials.
• Have a year or more of analytical testing experience (bonus!).
• Are customer-focused, have a positive attitude, and are a good team player.
• Are available to work from 06:00 AM to 02:30 PM.
