Wastewater Operator – 1st Shift (Permanent, Full-Time)
Pay: $25–$35 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift with flexible start between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
Location: Attleboro, MA

Position Summary

We are seeking a Massachusetts Licensed Wastewater Operator (minimum Grade 3 Industrial) to support wastewater treatment operations in an electroplating facility. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, while maintaining safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sampling, monitoring, and testing to maintain compliance with wastewater treatment regulations.

  • Maintain the wastewater room and equipment in accordance with the facility's POTW permit.

  • Accurately maintain all records related to wastewater, hazardous waste, and environmental compliance.

  • Operate a forklift truck when required.

  • Label, store, and dispose of chemicals and hazardous waste according to OSHA, state, and federal laws.

  • Prepare and maintain hazardous waste shipping documentation.

  • Maintain and operate air pollution control equipment.

  • Complete regulatory reports accurately and on time.

  • Perform temperature, pH, and analysis bath maintenance.

  • Follow all workplace safety practices and promote a strong safety culture.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Massachusetts Wastewater Operator license (minimum Grade 3 Industrial required).

  • Previous experience in wastewater treatment operations.

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations governing wastewater treatment, stormwater, and sludge management.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and regulatory reporting.

  • Familiarity with hazardous waste disposal procedures and documentation.

  • Valid forklift operator license preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
