Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking candidates for a QC Lab Technician position at a wastewater treatment plant in St Peters MO. The overall responsibility of the position is to implement and execute QC processes at the wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and to optimize treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sampling procedures and protocols
- Train and supervise operators on proper sampling techniques and documentation
- Perform on-site chemical analyses and maintain accurate chain of custody documentation
- Coordinate with external laboratories for third-party testing and analysis
- Monitor and ensure compliance with EPA and Missouri state environmental regulations
- Maintain detailed records and prepare required regulatory reports
- Troubleshoot process deviations and recommend corrective actions
- Associate's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field
- BS degree and wastewater operator certification are preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in an environmental laboratory or wastewater treatment facility
- Knowledge of EPA testing methods and relevant environmental regulations
- Ability to collect samples in a variety of weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Knowledge of LIMS, Google Sheets, Smartsheet, SPC, and/or data analysis would be a plus
- 6 month contract assignment with strong potential to be hired by the company based on individual performance and business needs
- Hourly pay rate: Commensurate upon level of education and applicable experience
- Work schedule: Monday-Friday day shift with occasional weekend sampling as needed
