**Job Title: Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) - Insulin Certified**

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) with an insulin certification to join our healthcare team. This position entails working a 12-hour shift schedule, providing essential care and medication administration services to our residents. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in medication administration, particularly in insulin management, while ensuring compliance with all health and safety guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Administer medications, including insulin, to residents in accordance with prescribed dosage and schedule.
- Monitor residents' response to medications and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Document all medication administration and resident interactions accurately and promptly in the medical records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Provide support and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as required by residents.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in medication administration and resident care.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy regarding residents' medical information.

**Qualifications:**

- Current certification as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) with insulin administration credentials.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or assisted living setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow protocols and physician instructions precisely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently during long shifts.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care to residents.

**Schedule:**

- 12-hour shifts with potential for day or night rotations. Flexibility in schedule is advantageous.
