POSITION SUMMARY
The Channel Sales Specialist II is a dedicated resource assigned to their Channel and reports to the Channel Sales Manager in our Cherry Hill, NJ location. The individual will be highly involved with the entire Channel team and actively involved in problem-solving, organizing information/activities and proactively identifying both issues and opportunities in their day-to-day duties. There may be some direct customer communication on certain issues as determined by the Channel Sales Manager and Channel Vice President. In addition to the above, the position includes responsibility for New Item setup, Price List maintenance, Promotional set-up, and Feasibility Request support, and sample request/tracking.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Take an active role in the day-to-day activities and support of the Channel team (may include responsibility/support for two separate Channels)
- Manage the initial life cycle of a product including new opportunity assessment, feasibility, and new item setup
- Work with Customers and Channel management on new item set-up, forecasting support, price list, and promotional maintenance
- Involved with and competent in customer online portals as Channel requires
- Able to pull and organize information from IRI to create a story for the sell
- Harvest data from the pricing and promotional tool to create opportunities to expand the sales on items already listed
- Key organizer and supporter of the Vice President and Sales Manager in their day-to-day functions
- Monitor customers' online platforms both passively and actively for any changes or updates that would affect the interest of the salesperson or the company
- Develop a deep understanding of LPC products and procedures in order to effectively support the Sales Manager and Vice President
- Initial development and ongoing support for customer presentations
- Help create and maintain sales reports in support of the Sales Manager and Vice President
- Keep the Sales Manager and Vice President aware of critical timelines
- Work with the Sales Manager and Vice President to maintain data and documents that allow the VP and Sales Manager to maximize time spent selling and closing
- Makes customer presentations as part of their ongoing development
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years Business Experience
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to effectively interact, engage and communicate with internal and external customers
- Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Prior experience with QAD/Qlikview is preferred
- Mildly proficient in negotiation, analytical and influencing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
