Pay Range for this position is: $70,000-$82,000 plus annual bonus, depending on experience.
POSITION SUMMARY
Lassonde Pappas, a subsidiary of Lassonde Industries, is a North American leader in private-label beverage manufacturing committed to customer and consumer satisfaction. The Materials Analyst is responsible for the inventory analysis of all raw materials/packaging components, by forecasting the right volumes of inbound materials to meet business needs and objectives. The Analyst will identify opportunities for operational improvements and maintain a strong relationship both internally/and externally to ensure supply and quality of materials meet requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supports the Corporate Waste Initiative to track, mitigate and root cause material and finished good risk – conducts value stream analysis and develops KPIs to measure success
- Conducts monthly analysis to track performance against allocated Waste budget - presents findings to leadership team to highlight wins and challenges
- Applies appropriate optimization methodologies to balance service levels, inventories and resource utilization using planning tools
- Works toward and supports a culture of lean/continuous improvement and work to make business and department improvements wherever possible
- Works with Material Planning staff to resolve issues, update material schedules and ensure supporting MRP systems reflect forecast and demand for products
- Creates plans, forecasts and schedules relating to materials necessary to meet operational requirements
- Leads weekly meetings to manage and execute actions necessary to mitigate shortages 2-weeks and 4-weeks out
- Review ways to save money and maintain consistency in material quality
- Provides recommendations based on findings and analysis
- Monitors variances and exceptions and develops process improvements
- Participates in regular planning reviews and prepare data in line with changes
- Monitors data input to any Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system or IT system for accuracy and resolve any issues as required
- Reviews data integrity for the Bill of Materials (BOM), evaluate usage and cost of materials in relation to actual build
- Tracks inventory trends and monitors inventory levels against agreed target levels
- Completes routine inventory control audits, reconciliations and billbacks to validate accuracy
- Creates and analyzes inventory reports and supplier metrics
- Issues and maintains performance metrics in order to optimize service levels
- Communicates with stakeholders by sharing reports, updates and analysis to aid decisions and optimize operational efficiency
- Utilizes knowledge and research methods to benchmark materials planning activities and drive best practice results
- Liaises with stakeholders as required
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years' experience in inventory management
- Experience managing inventory levels in a complex supply chain network
- Proven IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
- Experience or knowledge of statistics, forecasting and management information methods and techniques
- Knowledge of lean six sigma techniques
- Prior experience with QAD/Qlikview, preferred
- APICS CPIM/CSCP certification, preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
