POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Human Resources will partner with site leaders to solve organizational challenges through people-related solutions. The individual will be responsible for the oversight of all elements of employee relations at our manufacturing plants through the execution of HR policies and procedures in order to meet the organization's strategic objectives. This role may require up to 75% travel, as needed.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Provide expert advice to onsite HR managers about company policies and processes
- Partner with site leaders to help drive business performance using sound HR knowledge.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Implement and oversee employee relations programs/practices that create a positive organizational culture and enable management effectiveness.
- Support the Corporate Total Rewards team with the coordination and management of benefits plans; annual open enrollment, and issue resolution.
- Continuously assess the effectiveness of all human resources programs relative to the achievement of desired goals and outcomes and the overall business plans.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop site solutions, programs and policies.
- Create insights from data to inform process and improvements to drive a culture consistent with Lassonde's Values and Behaviors
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal counsel as needed/required.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Act as an ambassador of our employer brand, specially focused on promoting and living Lassonde's Values and Behaviors.
- Assist management in the creation of career development plans that foster growth, based on performance reviews, Talent Review, development plans, etc.
- Coordinate and manage the performance management process, and drive management in the execution of performance related action plans.
- Manage and maintain site new employee on-boarding process.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
- Six plus (6+) years of progressive HR managerment experience, including Organizational Effectiveness and change.
- Union experience
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including employee relations, policy administration, coaching, and performance management.
- Combined human resources or legal experience, with demonstrated passion for employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, ADA, and FMLA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), or the ability to obtain certification.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task
- Proven organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to organize and analyze data
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Ability to direct, coach and train others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing 20 – 35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
