Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Strategy and Continuous Improvement, the Project Lead Strategy and Continuous Improvement - Supply Chain will lead the execution of projects within the supply chain strategy portfolio to improve processes and performance relative to warehousing and transportation of goods, production planning, inventory management and procurement.
The Project Lead Strategy and Continuous Improvement - Supply Chain will be responsible for managing data collection and analysis, producing recommendations and implementing changes in accordance with the overall organizational and supply chain strategy.
Key Activities
- Lead the planning and execution of strategic projects within the supply chain project portfolio.
- Coordinate and execute data collection from different sources (field and systems).
- Provide data driven recommendations on the actions to be taken and overall execution plan.
- Lead project implementation through all phases of deployment.
- Assess end users' needs and coordinate support activities.
- Prepare and review documentation for communication and training purposes.
- Build and manage relationship with key stakeholders within and outside the organization.
Experience & Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, supply chain management, logistics, business management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supply chain role or related position.
- Experience in process design and optimization and system implementation.
- Experience in project and change management.
- Advanced skills with Office Suite applications (excel, access, etc.).
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English (French is an asset).

- Excellent organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of data analysis and ability to develop actionable insights from data.
- Ability to use “out of the box” thinking in making recommendation to solve issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and improve trusting relationships.
Specific condition of the role
- Must be available to travel to production and warehousing sites in Canada and the USA as per required for ongoing projects (up to 25% of time).
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking and standing,
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reach above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals.
VISION: Ability to see close objects i.e. computers for long periods of time with or without correction.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
