POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of each shift of the warehouse operations including staffing, training, productivity, cleanliness, people development, cost control, quality, and safety with a focus on customer service. This position is also responsible for the Food Safety and Food Quality programs.
1st Shift, 6:00am-2:30pm
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the job)

Responsibilities include:
- Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse shift, including following the basic production scheduling, work assignments, employee supervision, counseling, employee safety, and administration of company policies and procedures.
- Ownership of a CLEAN INSPECT LUBRICATE program for 2 palletizers, and 3 depalletizers.
- Ownership of the department's LOCK OUT/TAG OUT program
- Verification of quality checks
- Experience with WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
- Prepares written performance evaluations and counsels employees as needed. Resolve any employee issues and documents, disciplinary actions, and performance recognition of employees in their area.
- Coach clean-as-you-go program. Conduct daily plant walk-through and communicate findings to employees in their designated areas. Provide positive recognition to employees who exhibit good behavior in their work area as it pertains to plant cleanliness.
- Ensure product rotation is occurring by setting expectations with the forklift drivers on shipping the oldest product first. Audit shippers to ensure the oldest product was pulled and coach employees when there is a gap.
- Respond to customer service requests by reviewing daily appointments and staffing against the appointments to reduce turnover time on trucks along with ensuring that the product is available prior to appointment. Organize the warehouse so productivity is optimal and communicate opportunities to the Warehouse Manager
- Manage all incoming materials and products. - Monitor the financial performance of the CPU as it pertains to productivity and rotation. Staff the optimal people on the lines, shipping, and receiving without causing downtime in production. Follow-up on rotation so the product does not get put on hold for rotation.
- Maintain good quality of the product produced as it pertains to rotation, correct tagging of product, and product is not damaged in the warehouse. Perform audits on tagging locations to verify tags were completed correctly on each line. Follow up on rotation in shipping to ensure the oldest product was sent and place any old-age product on hold to prevent the old products from being shipped.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings, eliminate any potential safety hazards, and follow up on safety issues related to the department. Coaching employees on safe behavior.
- Perform housekeeping audits each month, and follow up on the progress of findings.
- Train new employees that are hired in the work area assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (If applicable)
- Manage multiple employees; the Warehouse Lead s and Forklift Operators report to this position.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback, coaching, counseling, and disciplining; conducting training; implementing enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications.
- Communicates job expectations; planning, monitoring, and assessing job results; coaching, and counseling employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Establishes strategic goals; identifying and evaluating trends; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
- Lead and support a food safety and food quality culture within the location
- Establish, document, and communicate to all relevant staff of food safety and quality objectives and performance measure
- Empower and encourage employees to act to resolve food safety and quality issues within their scope of work
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the food safety and quality culture within the location
- Effectively communicate all key performance indicators and objectives to employees
- Ensure staffing and adequate resources are maintained to meet objectives
- Educate all staff to understand the importance of food safety and food quality controls and deviation consequences.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification
- Two years of warehouse experience
- One-year leadership experience required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in areas of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).
OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.
VISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines, and exhaust fans.
