Job Summary

Join DRS Network & Imaging Systems, LLC in Cypress, CA as a Program Scheduler. In this pivotal role, you will develop and maintain intricate program schedules by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Control Account Managers (CAMs), program leadership, and engineering. Your expertise will support Earned Value Management (EVM), resource loading, and adherence to industry best practices in schedule health and risk analysis.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

•    Create and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to meet contractual requirements, program objectives, and industry standards.
•    Oversee program schedules throughout the entire lifecycle, ensuring proper setup for EVM integration and data consistency.
•    Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and customers to track progress, report performance metrics, and ensure timely deliverables.
•    Align schedule data and reporting to DECM (Defense Earned Value Compliance Metrics) to ensure compliance with government performance measurement standards.
•    Perform schedule risk analysis to identify potential impacts, quantify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies that enhaance schedule reliability and program success.
•    Lead the creation of program reports, including look-ahead reports, SPI, CPI, BEI, CEI, and milestone charts.
•    Ensure all scheduling activities align with established frameworks.
•    Generate MS Project Professional reports of program schedule status tailored to site needs.
•    Develop standard schedule templates to support consistency across the Cypress site.
•    Apply schedule optimization techniquest to improve schedule logic, resource alignment, and timeline eficiency while maintaining baseline integrity.

Basic Qualifications and Required Skills

•    Bachelor's degree and relevant technical training with 5+ years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
•    Advanced degree or certifications in Project Scheduling, EVM, or PMP preferred.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Project is a plus.
•    Extensive knowledge of EVM principles, IMS development, and program planning within defense/aerospace environments.
•    Proven experience working with CAMs and cross-functional stakeholders to gather and validate schedule inputs.
•    Strong analytical and communication skills, capable of briefing all levels of program leadership.
•    Proficient in developing program summary master schedules and one-page overviews using MS Project Professional to communicate key milestones, deliverables, and program timelines to stakeholders.
•    Active SSI license preferred or willingness to acquire.

 

Working Conditions
  • Normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

 

The expected pay scale for this position is $78,986/year - $112,950/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly. When extending an offer of employment, Leonardo DRS considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position; any Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the candidate's relevant work experience, education/training, certifications, and key skills; internal equity; and market and business considerations.
