Western Maine Primary Care, a department of Stephens Memorial Hospital, is currently seeking a BC/BE family medicine or internal medicine physician to serve as Medical Director of Primary Care. The Medical Director will work closely with the VP Physician & App Services and Practice Operations Leadership to oversee the clinical and operational success of our primary care practices. In addition the Medical Director will help develop and implement primary care related strategic initiatives. In addition to administrative duties the Medical Director will also practice clinically as a Primary Care physician.
Western Maine Primary Care consists of two busy and growing primary care practices in the same location including Internal Medicine and Family Medicine. Both practices are committed to providing high quality care to our patients and are a NCQA recognized Level Three – Patient Centered Medical Home and designated Rural Health Clinic. Now is a great time to join our team as we recently relocated our practice to our brand new, state-of-the-art medical office building. We have a strong, dedicated group of physicians and APPs in both practices including 6 internists, 5 family medicine physicians, and 8 APPs. In addition to providing general primary care we have offer specialized care in several areas including addiction medicine, integrative medicine, cardiac testing supervision, and an array of practice and hospital based procedures. Call is outpatient only and is phone calls divided equally among the physician group.
