Title and Summary
Analyst, Sales Overview:The Analyst, Sales position is part of the central Americas Strategy and Operations team and partners with specific Customer Account Management (CAM) teams. The open role will support Mastercard merchant teams in the United States and North America generally.
The Analyst will: (1) Collaborate with CAM leaders and team members to support and execute financial, operational, and business objectives. (2) Provide analytics, research, deal support, and customer assistance to account teams, as well as handle special projects. (3) Enhance Sales Excellence by refining business processes, including reporting, deal responses, and business reviews. (4) Drive strategic priorities and manage the implementation of strategies for the segment. (5) Facilitate the setting and sharing of best practices and promote standard methodologies across the Merchant team and the overall Strategy and Operations team.
Role
Enable business growth:
• Support U.S. Merchant account teams on key objectives, analytics, reporting, and strategy.
• Interact regularly with the account teams to understand their specific needs and help support the business.
• Create dashboards with Power BI and Excel to monitor customer activity, report on payment flows, and track internal initiatives.
• Navigate the internal data warehouse with proprietary tools.
• Partner with Account Managers, Finance, and other teams to develop financial modeling and business cases to support opportunities and RFPs.
• Investigate and explore opportunities to grow acceptance based on customer performance tracking and Account Manager input.
• Drive consistency across the account team through pipeline management, account optimization, and more.
• Contribute to overall strategic projects for the Americas region, such as quantifying internal progress, evaluating competitor operations, desktop research, and more.

• Passion for Mastercard and working in a data-driven, sales-focused environment to improve results.
• Strong communication skills; able to balance command of the details with the ability to deliver clear, concise summary.
• Strong technical skills: knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, Excel-based models, database querying with SQL, and basic data aggregation in spark or pandas.
• Strong analytical skills: aptitude for working with financial information and operational data.
• Experience with developing business cases & strategic analysis.
• Ability to collaborate and build relationships with account team across multiple functions; role has high exposure to a wide range of senior partners. Must be a strong team player.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering multiple projects within a team environment.
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Preferred majors include Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Engineering, but open to other areas.
