Associate Specialist, Legal Services (Rosetta Contract) Job Title:Associate Specialist, Legal Services (eligible for Rosetta/First employment contract)
Overview:
Mastercard Legal Generalist team, part of the LFI Business Unit, provide legal support to LFI and business partners across Mastercard. The current scope of services includes end-to-end contracting tool support for Europe region, corporate housekeeping, and Board management support. The position is based in Waterloo
Role:
As an Associate Specialist within the legal team, you will collaborate with awesome colleagues in the legal department to give a pan-European support to our European business and to be the point of contact between the legal team, our legal partners, and our clients.
As an insight, the Associate Specialist:
• Manages the Corporate Housekeeping part of the Company and work with the Company legal services provider to maintain the company's legal files up to date to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, policies and procedures
• Provides paralegal and contract administrative support to legal specialists and legal generalists to enable Mastercard to achieve its strategic objectives
• Reviews, collates, and compiles information including assisting in legal documents/contracts/matters
• Maintains and documents status of all existing and new legal documents/contracts/matters and tools
• Content management within MC/Law Department database with copies of legal documents and information related to our entities.
• Analyses and draws legal report from the available legal tools
• May assist in administrative activities related to training sessions and/or events conducted by the Law Department
Qualifications
• You are eligible for a Rosetta contract/First employment contract
• Bachelor's Degree in (para) legal studies
• Good legal and analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage workloads involving different tasks of varying priority and complexity
• Ability to deliver on a timely basis
• Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels and be an excellent communicator
• Team player with excellent communication and people skills
• Structured, results driven and solution oriented
• Stress tolerant, motivated and proactive
• Excellent written and verbal skills in English
• Any additional European language will be considered an asset
• Excellent command of MS Office tools
