What is Mastercard Services

The Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing cutting-edge data insights, strategy consulting services, and a wide range of Value Added Services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this team is responsible for selling Mastercard Services to a diverse international customer base of flagship Issuers, Acquirers, Fintechs, Retailers, and Big-techs with a focus on payments.

As part of the Services Business Development team covering Northern Europe, you will target the retail & commerce vertical, taking to market our data analytics, market share analysis, customer segmentation, and other related propositions such as Dynamic Yield, Test & Learn, etc.


Key Responsibilities

• Together with the existing team, shape the Services growth strategy in Northern Europe and execute against that strategy, particularly within the Dutch market.
• Leverage deep knowledge of all the Mastercard Services capabilities and how they fit together to create customized and relevant solutions for clients, solving for their needs.
• Develop strong relationships and partnerships with senior-level client management in the retail & commerce vertical.
• Align efforts with Mastercard internal teams for sales success, including managing external obstacles and maintaining leadership alignment and support.
• Partner with Mastercard project teams to ensure project quality and identify up-sell & cross-sell sales opportunities.
• Play a key role in the creation of new Intellectual Capital and become a “thought partner” for clients.


All About You

• Undergraduate degree required, Masters, MBA, or relevant post-graduate degree recommended.
• Experience from a top-rated Retail and Commerce, Consulting, or Digital firm in commercial, sales roles.
• Proven experience in B2B sales within the retail and commerce industry, with a strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, self-starter, and strong commercial sense.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in English and Dutch both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
