Title and Summary

Director, Business Auditor Overview:

Mastercard's global Internal Audit team provides independent and objective assurance and advisory services to assess and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Mastercard's governance, risk management and internal control processes. This position will be responsible for leading and/or providing day-to-day support with risk assessment and operational audit and advisory projects for Vocalink.

Role:
• Lead the annual risk assessment for assigned areas, including development of the audit plan, scheduling, and resource alignment
• Ensure audit methodologies and standards are consistently implemented and adhered to across day to day audit activities
• Lead multiple project based audit teams through planning, execution, and reporting; oversee the development of high quality audit reports
• Serve as a subject matter expert for designated areas (e.g., business operations, finance, strategy), providing consultative and value added insights
• Proactively partner with business leaders to identify, mitigate, and resolve risks and execution roadblocks
• Provide people leadership, including management and development of two direct reports

All About You:
• Deep knowledge of business risks, with several years of experience designing, implementing, and challenging business controls
• Strong ability to quickly understand and critically analyse complex business processes, identify and assess risks, and evaluate whether those risks are effectively mitigated using techniques such as problem solving, root cause analysis, and data analytics
• Demonstrated experience and commitment to internal and/or external audit, risk management, or operational roles within a large, complex, or global organization
• Bachelor's degree and accounting qualification required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization
• Intellectually curious, self motivated, and passionate about quality and continuous improvement; able to work independently and collaboratively
• Committed to personal development, open to constructive feedback, and proactive in building on strengths while addressing development areas
• Proven ability to deliver high quality work on time and within budget

Knowledge/Experience (preferred):
• Strong knowledge of Risk Management, Compliance, Legal, Products, Governance, Commercials, Finance Auditing.
• Sound understanding of the Standards for Professional Practice of Internal Audit of the Institute of Internal Auditors, auditing procedures and techniques
• Proficient with data analytics, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, ACL or similar audit tool
