Title and Summary

Director, Product Management Overview
The North America Digital Payments (NAM DP) group is looking for a Director, Tokenization Product Management, to lead the development and scaling of innovative new consumer experiences in ecommerce.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and enjoys tight collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The NAM Digital Payments team leads Mastercard's efforts to build and scale digital payment products that enable commerce across devices, contexts, and geographies. We work with the biggest names in tech, ecommerce and financial services to leverage Mastercard's technological capabilities to solve partner business problems, create new propositions, and ensure seamless, secure and inclusive payments.

The Tokenization team focuses on nurturing new technologies, establishing product-market fit through pilots and customer co-innovation, and then scaling solutions to ubiquity. By the end of 2025, tokenization solutions will power more than 1 out of every 2 ecommerce transactions in North America.

2- Role
In this market commercialization role, you will act as North America business owner of all co-innovation initiatives with one of Mastercard's largest digital consumer products partners, and also manage Mastercard's portfolio of credential lifecycle management solutions.

Goals for these areas include establishing pre-market product frameworks, bringing new product concepts to market, scaling solutions, and driving continuous ecosystem optimization.

This is a generalist role requiring the flexibility to acquire specialist depth as-needed. As commercialization owner, your work will touch on multiple functional areas, including pricing, engineering, implementation, marketing, and analytics. You will be responsible for managing these various levers to drive the needed outcomes for your product portfolio.

3- All About You
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Able to articulate ideas crisply in written and spoken contexts
- Strong experience and knowledge of the business drivers and technology of consumer payments, especially digital wallets and tokenization
- Awareness and understanding of Mastercard's key customers, partners, and external stakeholders in these areas, including Issuers, Payment Service Providers, Acquirers, Digital Wallet Operators, and Merchants
- Comfortable rapidly absorbing large volumes of complex business and technical knowledge. You seek out daunting intellectual challenges as a pastime
- Possess a blend of analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence and able to dive deep on all areas of the business to deliver creative solutions to unstructured problems
- Comfortable communicating strategy, project status, and complex ideas to executive leadership
- Willing to hear new ideas and objectively consider challengers in the interest of achieving the best possible customer outcomes

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
