Title and Summary
Director, Product Management, Program Management and Strategy Overview:Mastercard is a global technology company in the payments industry. The Portfolio Intelligence program is a large program with over 150 members, spread across 15 countries. It aims to empower customers with transactional insights, predictions and recommendations to stay ahead of trends & make informed strategic decisions, leveraging MA trusted data.
The Program Manager will play a key role supporting the Product Program Co-Founder in coordinating and reporting program activities, in drafting strategic plans and driving execution across the Portfolio Intelligence program. This role partners with business leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure the strategic program roadmap is crafted, objectives are met, risks are managed, and results are communicated clearly to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Support the Product Program Co-Founder in coordinating program activities, including creating program roadmaps, tracking activities completion, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
• Prepare and deliver regular program readouts, executive updates for senior executive leadership and coordinate broad program cohesion across Product & Technology.
• Draft, structure, and maintain strategic plans for the Portfolio Intelligence program, ensuring alignment with business priorities and objectives.
• Drive long-term strategic initiatives independently, including across company priorities and engage with external market priorities.
• Guide development of product execution plans, performance targets, and risk mitigation strategies along with product & technology leadership.
• Collaborate with colleagues across functions (Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, Data privacy) to realize key objectives.
• Maintain program documentation, including objectives, KPIs, risk registers, and compliance records.
• Develop key messages and materials for communicating program strategy, progress, and outcomes to internal and external audiences.
• Assist senior management in identifying key issues, evaluating options, and developing action plans; drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations.
• Periodically refines program strategy and plans to reflect evolving business needs and market context
• Exhibit a curious mindset, modelling the Mastercard Way as a member of the Portfolio Intelligence cabinet & leadership team.
All About You
• Bachelor's degree required, MsC, MBA preferred
• Experience designing and implementing governance programs and frameworks
• Experience in product governance and change management within a technology or payments environment
• Experience developing high-quality presentations, explaining complex concepts and managing regular executive read-outs
• Strong experience in global market assessments, long-term strategy planning and articulation
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
• Ability to work with a complex web of relationships, debate and negotiate key issues, lead by influence, and provide stewardship on company-wide initiatives
• Ability to independently develop high-quality financial models
• Prior experience at consulting firm / internal strategy a plus
• Knowledge of financial services, retail banking and/or payment industry preferred
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
