Title and Summary

Director, Product Operations and Enablement About the Role -
The Product Excellence team is seeking a strategic enabler and communicator to serve as Director, Product Operations and Enablement. This role blends enablement, training, editorial expertise, stakeholder engagement, and product-focused communications to support strategic initiatives and amplify their impact across the organization. The position will lead efforts in educating and enabling teams, crafting and delivering targeted communications, managing digital channels, and supporting community-building initiatives that align with product strategy and organizational priorities.

About the Role:

Enablement Strategy & Execution (Primary Focus)
- Lead enablement efforts for strategic product initiatives, including standing up product councils and coaching on future studio pathways.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate teams on standards, requirements, and best practices in product development.
- Act as a generalist utility player who can quickly learn and train others across diverse product topics - as we evolve product development practices in future releases.
- Partner with product leaders to drive adoption and understanding of new frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Lead conversations with executives to align on enablement goals and influence strategic direction.

Product Communications Strategy & Execution
- Own and evolve communication channels, including newsletters, SharePoint site, targeted Outlook emails, and personalized stakeholder messaging.
- Develop and execute editorial strategies that support product initiatives and leadership priorities.
- Collaborate with product leaders to craft compelling narratives and updates.
- Manage content calendars, write and edit communications, and ensure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging.
- Use data and feedback to optimize communication effectiveness and reach.

Business Support & Guild Engagement
- Support business operations through documentation, and process alignment.
- Own and manage key operational tools including the team Scorecard, risk assessments, and QBR reports to ensure visibility, alignment, and accountability across initiatives
- Assist with guild-led initiatives such as community events, learning programs, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Promote engagement opportunities and amplify member contributions.
- Help design and facilitate forums, workshops, and storytelling sessions that strengthen product culture.

All About You:
- Proven experience in enablement, training, strategic communications, or stakeholder engagement.
- Strong understanding of product development principles and organizational dynamics.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Experience managing digital communication channels and tools (e.g., SharePoint, Outlook, email automation platforms).
- Ability to translate complex product concepts into clear, engaging content.
- Collaborative mindset with strong project management and organizational skills.
- Executive presence with the ability to present, facilitate, and lead conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in building community engagement and cross-functional alignment.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.

O'Fallon, Missouri: $148,000 - $237,000 USD
