Director of Engineering

Overview:
Dynamic Yield by Mastercard is seeking a Director of Engineering with a passion for technology, leadership, and innovation. This role is an opportunity to guide and grow multiple engineering teams working on cutting-edge personalization platforms that reach millions of users. As a Director of Engineering, you will help shape our technical direction, foster a culture of excellence, and ensure the successful delivery of impactful product features in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align on priorities and execute with quality and velocity.

Role:
Lead multiple cross-functional engineering teams delivering scalable and innovative solutions across our personalization platform.

Define and drive technical strategy in alignment with product goals and company vision.

Partner with Product and Design leadership to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.

Mentor and grow engineering leaders and senior developers to build a high-performance culture.

Oversee architectural decisions and ensure systems are designed with performance, security, and maintainability in mind.

Promote engineering best practices including clean code, automated testing, and continuous delivery.

Collaborate with global teams and communicate clearly with executive stakeholders.

All about you:
10+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years in engineering leadership roles.

Strong background in web technologies: React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), NodeJS, and microservices architectures.

Proven experience managing complex engineering projects from concept to delivery.

Deep understanding of cloud environments such as AWS and scalable infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, Redis).

Track record of building and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

Strategic thinker with a strong execution mindset and excellent communication skills.

BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience (relevant military experience or self-taught backgrounds are welcome).

Passion for innovation, user-centric development, and continuous improvement.
