Overview
• Responsible for the development, delivery, maintenance or monitoring of IT security policies, standards, and best practices
• Implements risk management procedures, performs security threat assessments, manages user identities and access, and oversees compliance
• Identify, test, and report security weaknesses in systems and applications
• Oversees governance and compliance of vulnerability remediation enterprise wide
Responsibilities for Corporate Security Analyst:
• Review firewall connectivity, change request
• Test and evaluate new technologies, report possible threats or software issues to management
• Analyze IT requirements and provide objective advice on the use of IT security requirements
• Analyze security systems and seek improvements on a continuous basis, CIS benchmarks
• Create/update team documentation, procedures and analytics
• Develop an understanding for security policies, regulatory compliance, and technical aptitude on complex technologies and strategies
All about You - Qualifications for Corporate Security Analyst
• Four-year degree in a related field (or certifications and comparable experience)
• Exposure to security, including network and internet systems security
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to identify and understand security terminology, concepts, and practices
• Some experience in security software/tools like Remedy, Archer, Jira etc.
• Ability to prioritize projects and succeed in a fast-paced environment
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise
• Good to have understanding of security services (authentication, vulnerability management, access management, and/or log monitoring)
