Title and Summary

Lead Business Analyst Overview:

The Corporate Treasury team is looking for a Lead Business Analyst to define, analyze and implement product, system, and operational initiatives. This role focuses on adapting changes in Mastercard's business environment with a specialized focus on Settlement Service offerings, settlement/liquidity risks, controls, policies and operations. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.

Role:

In this position, you will:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand new business opportunities and define both the business and functional requirements.
• Provide business and functional requirements to development teams to facilitate completion of design, coding, testing, and implementation phases within the project life cycle
• Develop comprehensive business cases to support recommendations for process or product improvements aimed at enhancing organizational capabilities and improving operational efficiencies
• Conduct thorough financial, operational, customer, and high-level systems analysis to assess settlement risk and propose mitigating solutions for prospective new and enhanced systems and products
• Ensure development objectives are achieved, user testing is conducted, and member notifications are prepared in a timely manner
• Coordinate and assist in the implementation of new or revised rules and policies
• Identify risks in cross-functional designs and communication channels

All About You:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or equivalent work experience; MBA preferred
• Certified Treasury Professional, Agile Practitioner, PMP certifications are a plus
• Business Analysis and Project Management experience in financial services, banking, or payment industry
• Experience with banking platforms, clearing and settlement systems is a plus
• Proficiency in Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodology, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Knowledge of business/function and development life cycle and funds transfer solutions
• Understands business context and market dynamics, including regulatory, legal, and technological landscapes
• Partners with and incorporates feedback from cross-functional stakeholders
• Maintains institutionalized knowledge through consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents) across the framework

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
