The Cyber Security Services team develops new capabilities for Mass Attack pillar, which is an exciting and fast paced team with investment to offer globally scalable products to detect and report on weaknesses in payments systems and transactions, to prevent fraud for Issuers, Acquirers and Merchants.
Our platform is able to prevent and detect fraud through different applications from evaluating merchants vulnerabilities to scanning dark web for exchange of payment data.


Overview
The CSS Engineering team is looking for a talented Lead Software engineer focused in Data Analysis/ Engineering to support securing the payment ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing large sets of transactional data to identify trends, behaviors, and outliers in the payment space. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure data integrity and accuracy. The candidate will support the business in defining rules to identify anomalies and provide insights that drive strategic decisions.

Role

· Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
· Provide technical leadership, strategize "productionalization" of data and model business logic, design and product requirement elaboration expertise, which include mission critical, high volume transaction processing systems.
· Expertise with requirement elaboration and ability to evolve business asks into technical design.
· Develop and implement data models and algorithms to detect outliers and unusual behaviors.
· Drive efforts in a collaborative space with multiple technical departments to engineer offline solutions into an online system
· Ownership, creation and maintenance of all model documentation, and relevant playbook, solutioning and technical process pages.
· Lead junior team members on delivery lifecycle of model implementation, including integration of operational hand off between internal and external project delivery teams.
· Ensure data quality and consistency across different data sources.
· Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business decisions.
· Create and maintain documentation for data processes and analysis.
· Support model development via business logic understanding and technical integration into a production environment.
· Develop and implement business engineering in an agile environment.
· Validate rule changes against transaction data and ensure quality is enforced.

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
· Have a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
· 4+ years of experience in data engineering/ analysis.
· Have current experience in delivering technical solutions and capabilities to meet business and product strategies, including a focused relationship with technical and business providers. Financial Services or Payments experience a plus.
· Direct experience with the development of custom software applications and services across a variety of technology selections and frameworks.
· Experience with software engineering concepts and methodologies, including agile lifecycles, testing automation, and behavior-driven development.
· Strong proficiency in SQL is required; experience with NoSQL and other Database Management Systems is desirable.
· Strong background in object-oriented architecture, design, and development. Direct Java experience preferred. Experience with multiple OO languages.
· Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
· Deep understanding of troubleshooting techniques across a broad range of problems/domains
· High-energy and detail-oriented, with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment with a high degree of initiative and self-motivation to drive results; good at organizing and planning for several concurrent initiatives with conflicting needs.
· Interested in building solutions that help recognize and prevent payment fraud
· Strong sense of curiosity, analytical problem solving and is passionate about the customer experience journey.
· Flexible and ability to quickly pivot to new priorities.
· Refining product requirements to fit appropriate capabilities.
· Model integration with software security products.
· End to end experience of project delivery.
