Title and Summary
Lead Technical Program Manager Overview:The work consists of leading a portfolio of projects pertaining to IT Asset Management for digital, hardware, and software assets throughout the enterprise.
Role:
• Organize and accelerate a group of related technology projects or activities across multiple teams, aligning dependent organizations.
• Identify and remove impediments; finds the path forward in challenging situations.
• Effectively monitors, controls, and reports on execution.
• Recognizes complexity and creates predictable delivery paths for large and/or complex efforts.
• Measurably improves, streamlines, and/or eliminates excess processes.
• Drives execution of an outcome from inception through successful delivery through the full stack of the services / domains, or, an outcome that spans multiple teams and integrations across the enterprise.
• Looked to as first point of contact for your team or area and the source of truth for status providing the right information and associated data about the state of the project to the right audience at the right time.
• Understands the business strategy and design approaches within product, program, or domain with depth to be credible and effective with teams they work with.
• Competently represents the team's services.
• Keeps abreast of evolving technology landscape. Asks the right questions to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of designs (scalability, latency, security, performance, data integrity, etc.).
• Works with ambiguity and limited guidance.
• Transforms technical concepts, thoughts, and raw information into clear and concise communications/instructions to the teams. Confidently communicates with 3+ levels up.
• Works directly with both internal and external technology providers that support our implementation plans and roadmaps.
• Identifies opportunities to automate and/or be faster, better, and more efficient.
• Understands the needs of the engineers and technical operations teams who have to build, maintain, and operate the services and technical assets.
• Owns project metrics; proactively seek out new and improved data/mechanisms for visibility ensuring the work stays aligned with organization objectives.
• Plays active role in mentoring and recruiting others.
All about you / your experience:
• You should have a minimum of five years of technical program management experience working on projects and programs of progressively greater number and complexity.
• You should be experienced working with, and creating, internal and external partnerships with upstream and downstream dependent individuals, teams, and vendors.
• Candidates should have familiarity with Agile frameworks, such as SAFe.
• Ideal candidate(s) will have experience working with digital, hardware, and software asset management and governance projects.
