Manager, Accounting JOB DESCRIPTIONLeader, Regional Finance
Major Accountabilities:
Internal Controls and reporting
• Identify opportunities for improved internal controls
• Create & reengineering internal control policies and procedures + coordinate the implementation of finance policies/procedures with all the areas of the Company
• Investigate control exceptions, monitor resolutions and escalate to senior management if necessary
• Work with process owners to develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate employees about internal control and process requirements
• Support Regional Headquarter cost centers accounting and budget support: Marketing, communications, legal, LF&I, tax, customer delivery, products, consumer & marketing intelligence, sponsorships, etc.
• Lead special revenue / billing / collections initiatives and support new business (Argentina, Central America, Colombia and Venezuela)
• Business continuity – regional headquarters
• Monthly payroll close
Compliance
• Interim SOX testing and reporting to PMO
• LAC Quarterly Change Certifications and SOX documentation maintenance
• Work with Controller to ensure LAC compliance with business, legal, and global policy requirements
Process Improvement
• Identify process improvement opportunities within Finance, and liaise with other business units to implement efficiently.
Experience/Education:
Experience Required:
6-8 years plus of international (American Companies / Big 4) experience in financial or bankcard/payment industry a plus.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Bilingual: English/Spanish
Supervision: Reports to the Sr. Business Leader, Regional Finance.
