Manager, Analytics and Business Insights OverviewMastercard is a worldwide payment technology company spanning across 200+ countries and serving billions of cardholders globally. As an international payment scheme, Mastercard has access to extensive dataset which generates valuable insights to drive business growth and uncover optimization opportunities.
Based out of Singapore, we have an exciting opportunity as Manager - Analytics and Business Insights, as part of the Asia Pacific regional Business Excellence team, to transform raw data into actionable insights, enabling businesses to make informed decisions, develop winning strategies, unlock optimization potential and catalyze growth expansion.
About the role
Dashboard Reporting
· Collaborate and engage with cross-functional teams across regions, divisions and countries to understand their data requirements and develop platforms, analyses and insights which are impactful and value-accretive.
· Create, build and maintain intuitive and user-friendly dashboards with multi-segmentation drill down capabilities that effectively communicate data insights.
· Conduct timely performance tracking on key performance indicators (KPIs), program results, industry developments and trends. Identify emerging opportunities and/or performance challenges, and lead cross-functional collaboration with account managers to develop and execute impactful business strategies.
Data Intelligence and Business Development
· Leverage data analysis outcomes to derive insights and to generate data-driven recommendations that accelerate business and revenue growth.
· Translate complex data into actionable insights to drive market share and revenue growth by understanding market trends, researching and identifying key challenges and potentials, as well as orchestrating joint initiatives with front-line sales team to unlock business opportunities.
· Partner with account managers, collaborate in development of detailed business cases / financial analysis and modeling in support of commercial projects and deals.
Process Efficiencies and Enhancements
· Develop and enforce data quality standards, governance protocols and validation rules to ensure cleansed and credible data outputs to support strategic business decisions.
· Refine dashboard designs and capabilities to support richer and more granular data requirements as appropriate.
· Optimize workflows and proactively drive process efficiencies by developing and implementing scalable solutions to manage large datasets effectively.
Teamwork
· Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals and ensure seamless coverage of responsibilities when needed.
· Support VP Business Analytics and the broader Business Excellence team on special tasks and projects as required.
About You
· Minimum 8 years solid data analytics experiences, deep technical expertise with hands-on capability in excel, presentation (e.g. MS PowerPoint) dashboard (e.g. Power BI / Tableau), and analytics applications (e.g. Fabrics / Hadoop). Fluency in programming (e.g. Python) and query (e.g. SQL) languages.
· Deep passion for deriving actionable insights through data intelligence.
· Excellence problem solver, sound commercial acumen, good knowledge of the payments industry and ability to create and drive business opportunities.
· Track record of effective leadership with minimal oversight and key stakeholder management.
· Strong sense of self-initiative and accountability.
· Solid commitment to responsibility and teamwork, good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders of all levels.
· Proven dedication to continuous improvement and innovation.
