Title and Summary

Manager, Deal Management Overview

The North America Finance team is looking for a Manager, Deal Management to support business partners in strategic deal structuring and execution across the region, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations to retain or win new business with issuers, merchants and other key customers. Specifically, this role will require strong analytical skills, initiative on thought leadership, strong project management skills and the ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Product, Risk, Pricing and Finance to drive high-impact outcomes in a dynamic and competitive market.

Role

• Collaborate with regional sales and account teams to develop commercially sound deal structures that support revenue growth and profitability.
• Review applicable deal documentation, including deal models, business cases, customer proposals, and agreements.
• Provide consultative support, thought leadership, strategy development, innovative ideas and approaches to the senior management team of North America
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards, internal policies, and audit requirements.
• Manage periodic and ad-hoc reporting and updates to senior management on deal pipeline, benchmarks, and/or performance
• Identify opportunities to improve the quality and “success rate” of deal proposals, which may include evaluation of the deal process to deliver efficiencies and value-added improvements

All About You

• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior Mastercard executives and customers at various management levels
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess a natural collaborative style, and is able to work effectively and efficiently across the multiple areas and levels of the Mastercard organization
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including relevant experience in finance, accounting, risk management or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field; Masters, MBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
