Title and Summary

Manager, Investor Relations Job Overview:

Investor Relations serves as the interface between MasterCard's management and the capital markets; disseminates information to the financial community and investing public to ensure that MasterCard is accurately valued in the marketplace. IR builds relationships with investors and analysts, develops strategies to attract and inform investors and analysts about the company's operational and financial performance while establishing realistic expectations for future growth, and provides feedback to executives on how the market views MasterCard.
This is an important key contributor role on a small team with a primary focus on the development of management materials for quarterly earnings, planning for the annual investment community meeting and the collection of external consensus estimates.

Role:

Major accountabilities include but are not limited to:
• Provide regular input to CFO, IRO and FP&A across consensus, competitor and industry earnings summaries, analyst reports, competitor analysis, etc.
• Maintain spreadsheets and analyze how Wall Street expectations differ from MA internal forecasts
• Update sell-side analyst earnings estimates, ratings and target prices
• Prepare and distribute stock reports to the Management Committee and other members of senior mgmt.
• Project manage quarterly earnings process by coordinating with IR team, all Corp Finance teams and 3rd party vendors.
• Develop slides and memos for Board and Audit Committee updates.

Communications:
• Assist in preparation of materials for earnings and other major corporate financial announcements. Coordinate with business teams to create first draft of earnings materials.
• Assist in responding to IR inquires from IR inbox and voicemail
• Participate in compliance review of internal and external employee communications to ensure consistency and in line with Reg FD requirements

Business Administration
• Manage IR Budget and Business Continuity Plan
• Work effectively with third party vendors, consultants and industry organizations, including stock surveillance firms and outside research firms
• Maintain external IR website to ensure accuracy and compliance with Reg FD
• Maintain/keep current IR and Corporate Disclosure Policies

Event/Meeting Preparation

• Assist in development of prep and/or presentation materials for management meetings with investment community
• Assist in planning and overall coordination of MA investment community meeting
• Assist in development of materials for employee presentations
• Make suggestions and recommendations for improvements to current and proposed controls, procedures, vendors and systems

All About You:
• Experience in finance, planning or capital markets experience
• An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA preferred, but not required
• Strong analytical skills including financial modeling, accounting and valuation experience; solid understanding of financial concepts such as DCF, NPV, IRR, etc.
• Excellent PC skills, including the entire Microsoft suite, Copilot and various internet search techniques
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong relationship building and partnering skills
• Self-motivated and demonstrated multi-tasking capabilities
• Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills in order to work well under tight deadlines and/or high stress situations. Meticulous attention to detail

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Purchase, New York: $137,000 - $218,000 USD
