Manager, Mastercard Installments Product Manager, NAM Mastercard Installments
Overview:
The Installments product team sits within our Digital Payments organization bringing new and innovative ways to pay across a variety of digital first use cases. The suite of solutions includes card-linked installment services and programs that enable Buy Now Pay Later experiences for financial institutions, fintechs, merchants and wallets. These products are quickly becoming an important part of the payment landscape for millions of Americans.

The team is looking for someone that can help us build product/market fit for these new solutions while considering new interfaces on the horizon, including AI commerce. Overall the objective is to accelerate commercial efforts including concepting new solutions, managing program enhancements, managing customer pipeline, communicating solutions to customers, and developing strategic partnerships. This individual needs to be a self starter, have a strong background in network payment or eCommerce products and is comfortable communicating complex concepts both internally and externally.
The role of the Manager is to:
• Design new enhancements that address market feedback, issues/risks, and enable program growth. (Note this role does not directly interface with engineering)
• Provide consultative efforts with the customer account teams and develop sales enablement & business cases as needed for new opportunities, products, and segments.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and formalize Installment programs such as franchise, pricing, legal, finance, etc.
• Consult with customers on how our solutions work and best practices for implementation
• Collaborate with fintech enabler partners on initiatives that drive commercial success for our customers.
• Work with the Product Delivery team to launch customer programs and help identify solutions to problems that may arise.
• Monitor results, research ways to optimize performance, and conduct reviews with external clients.

All About You:
• The ideal candidate will must have experience in product management, product development, or customer solutions in financial services and/or card products
• Comfortable with technical concepts and the ability to communicate those to various stakeholders
• Working knowledge of card industry or merchant payments systems. Understanding of Mastercard or network card product suite a plus
• Demonstrated ability to act with a sense of urgency and entrepreneurial attitude
• Project management & problem-solving skills with a record of success managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and cross-functional team building skills
• A curious thinker who enjoys questioning the status quo and looking for new solutions
Skills/capabilities:
• Self-motivated to work independently with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to many audiences, from customers to internal cross functional stakeholders.
• Forward thinking, creative problem solver with business acumen to drive positive results and innovative product conceptualization.
• PowerPoint skills, Advanced Microsoft Excel with business case modeling a strong plus.
• Strong work ethic, detail orientation, task initiation, planning and prioritization. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
