Title and Summary
Manager, Network Strategy and Product Overview:Manager, Network Strategy and Product will join a team leading Go to Market, Partnerships and Commercialization to build and deliver upon the future of Mastercard's global card payments network. The network is the company's core strategic asset, directly driving over $8 billion in revenue and providing the platform for our other key services.
We are looking for an experienced business/payments professional, preferably with a background in business development and/or a track record of successful program execution and product commercialization. This position will oversee the successful execution of our Network Products strategy and offerings in key markets and generally support the commercialization of our product pipeline through the implementation of scalable GTM solutions, relationship management with key network enablers, program management, business case development and stakeholder alignment across a large global team.
The role:
This role will be responsible for scaling the adoption of Mastercard's Network Product offerings by ensuring the successful execution of enabler engagements and key strategic initiatives. The individual will support in driving industry level engagements and identifying opportunities to scale and expand the existing suite of Network Product solutions.
· Build partnerships with strategic industry enablers, with strong relationship and program management with existing and prospective enablement partners across multiple regions
· Develop and maintain a formal assessment of potential partnership targets and prioritize recruitment based on ongoing alignment with Network product and business strategy
· Shape and pursue new product and pricing opportunities / models; drive new offerings from concept to commercialization in partnership with regional product leads and product managers
· Perform high-quality analysis for identifying partnership opportunities, preparing business cases for proposed solutions and estimating impact
· Support the global product team to more effectively scale our product suite, including bundling of products and enhancements to our core network value proposition
· Propose and drive changes to Mastercard's Franchise or other rules and programs to drive outcomes beneficial to the ecosystem, including cardholders, merchants and financial institutions
· Present overviews of your approach, proposals and progress to key decisionmakers and Product leadership
· Quickly develop or leverage an existing clear understanding of the Acquiring and Processing ecosystem (Service providers, Processors, NEPs, Acquirers, etc.)
· Seamlessly work cross-functionally and collaborate with the executive team, sales, marketing, and services teams to help customers and enablers succeed as we scale our products
· Maintain strong relationships and effective collaboration with external customers and enablers, to oversee integration and implementation of successful GTM
· Maintain an independent mindset, develop a strong point of view of the best approaches, push hard for the right outcomes for our team and customers, and be flexible and pragmatic in your approach to getting things done
The candidate:
• Prior experience in payments is required
• Prior experience in business development is preferred
• Strong organizational and workstream management skills
• Superior communications, visual and verbal presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills and relevant experience is required
• Desire to dive deep and learn about our technology, system structure, and rules
• Flexibility to work with ambiguity and handle multiple or shifting projects
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision
• Ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of leadership across the organization and with internal and external clients
