Title and Summary

Manager, Product Management Mastercard is a global technology company in the payments industry. Our mission is to connect and power an inclusive, digital economy that benefits everyone, everywhere by making transactions safe, simple, smart, and accessible. Using secure data and networks, partnerships and passion, our innovations and solutions help individuals, financial institutions, governments, and businesses realize their greatest potential.
Overview:

The Identity Solutions team leads the development and delivery of innovative products that help partners identify their customers and enable simple and secure digital experiences for consumers in payments and beyond.

A critical area within Identity Solutions is the Payment Verification team which develops global identity risk insights and data sharing services to verify consumer identities, reduce payment fraud and increase conversion rates across the payments ecosystem, all leading to better customer experiences.

The team is seeking a Manager of Product Management for network agnostic risk solutions who will manage and optimize a portfolio of established products such as IRS (Identity Risk Score), TrAPI (Transaction Risk API), and Identity Review. This role is responsible for evaluating the future of these established products — assessing market relevance, customer needs, and business impact — to determine whether to evolve, consolidate, or sunset offerings.

In addition to optimizing existing products for continued customer value and operational efficiency, this leader will explore opportunities to develop new solutions that address unmet market needs. The ideal candidate will bring a strong strategic mindset, customer-centric approach, and a bias for action to guide product decisions that drive long-term growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Product Stewardship: Manage the established product portfolio, ensuring it continues to deliver customer value. Identify opportunities to streamline, consolidate, or evolve offerings based on market signals and organizational priorities.

Roadmap Execution: Translate strategy into actionable product roadmaps. Drive execution in partnership with engineering and cross-functional teams, balancing innovation with operational stability and technical constraints.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, customer success, and sales to resolve operational gaps, improve product performance, and accelerate delivery of enhancements. Act as a connector across teams to ensure alignment and momentum.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Gather insights from merchant customers, account managers, and regional teams to inform prioritization and product decisions. Represent customer needs while navigating stakeholder expectations.

Performance Monitoring & Issue Diagnosis: Track product KPIs and usage to assess health and performance. Investigate root causes of challenges (e.g., sales friction, adoption barriers) and recommend data-driven mitigation strategies.

Documentation & Enablement: Maintain up-to-date product documentation and support internal enablement efforts, including training materials and go-to-market readiness for new or updated features.

All About You

5+ years of product management experience, ideally in identity, risk, or payments. Experience with API-based products and enterprise SaaS preferred.

Good understanding of payments fraud scenarios like account takeover, synthetic identities, and social engineering

Enthusiasm for problem-solving both internally and externally

Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships

Proven ability to manage complex products and drive cross-functional initiatives

Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision-making

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Attributes
